Dr. Mohr received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communications from Purdue University in 1990. She also minored in English, Supervision, and Psychology. In addition to her academics, Dr. Mohr is a proud alumnus of the Purdue All American Marching Band 😊
Dr. Mohr went back to graduate school about five years after undergrad to pursue her true calling: helping people find their way to happier lives through clinical work and education. Dr. Mohr attended Northern Illinois University where she earned a Master of Science degree specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Continuing her education, Dr. Mohr went on the earn a Doctorate from Michigan State University in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2000. Her research focus was to determine the most effective ways to develop healthy collaborative relationships.
Dr. Mohr lived in Michigan and developed a private practice and a clinical training program for therapists. During this time, she also served as a faculty member at both Michigan State University and Western Michigan University.
In 2008 Dr. Mohr moved to Colorado where she was employed as a faculty member at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. In the role of Director of Behavioral Medicine, she worked as a professor educating medical students as well as provided clinical services to students, staff and faculty members.
In 2017 Dr. Mohr established her private practice Laura Mohr PhD in Parker, Colorado. Since then, her private practice has continued to grow and flourish drawing clients from all over the Denver metro area. Most recently Dr. Mohr has established a series of workshops to help reach more individuals who are seeking more connections through their relationships with their significant others, their children, family members, friends, and even themselves.
